 Instead of trying to dig deeper,

You take the easy route and turn your back.

I know I'm complicated but try and understand me,

Don’t make me feel like I'm so uncanny

Let me know you care, show me you will try every time

Make me feel I am worth it, or at least close to perfect.

I need reassurance, comfort, and love

I come off as tough, but it’s because my past was rough

I hold a wall up to hide what’s behind,

I have so many scars, but I disguise them to be divine.

Sorry if I come off rudely, I’m scared of love

Trusting someone is challenging

Show me you can be honest

I want a man that knows I'm a work in progress.

I don’t have time for vagueness,

I want something painless.

Make me feel certain, I don’t want to wonder

Security is needed when you’ve done me under.

All we need is communication,

to build a strong foundation

It’s just the simple things,

The utmost isn’t needed in exchange.
