S P A C E

When I need space, I run away...

I shut out the world and begin to isolate

Don't take this the wrong way, I just call this self-care 

Although I'm labeled an introvert, there are times where I crave intellectual conversations

Followed by genuine company 

When I feel I have reached the end of my social battery, I recharge

Isolation is what I need, too much socialization and people bring fatigue

I use this time wisely to regain myself and find my peace

I dive into silence and put my brain at ease

I restore my mind, my body, and soul 

I gain new thoughts and set new goals

Unoccupied, I feel free... this is the time I use for me

Day one, day two, day three, I now feel its safe to leave

Mended, I will withdraw from my isolation state and head back to where my friends and loved ones await…

Its goodbye when I feel my social battery is sufficiently charged, and I feel it is safe to return

[And to Space, for we both know I'm the most reticent, you're my cure and my healing & for that, I say with love and appreciation, Thank you]
