Past
Some may say that our mistakes "define us" and others may say they don't. One thing about mistakes is that we can't change them. We can't go back in time and redo things differently.
We have to live with our mistakes and any consequences that may come with them.
People will judge us and create images of who we appear to be just by the choices and actions we've made, hence, why we should always be mindful of what we do or say.
With the mistakes we make, we may hurt ourselves and others along the way. But in the end, even though we can't change the past, we shouldn't dwell on it.
I've made mistakes before that later made me or someone else feel like shit. And what makes it all worse is when people hold your past over your head as you try to move past it.
Guess all that comes with the consequences we later face.
But what I had to remember was I'm not perfect. Nobody is.
So we shouldn't hold mistakes over anyone. And we shouldn’t be so hard on ourselves.
Life must go on.
Embrace the mistakes because they’re lessons.
Coming in as number two…
People
I like to believe that every person is unique in their own way and what separates us from one another is our mindset and choices. Not everyone will think like you or do things the way you do.
For example:
how you handle situations or how you respond to disrespect
TO
how you clean your house or cook your eggs
The point is, we're all different no matter how much we may think someone is similar to us. Every person is different and every person will do things in their own way.
Most importantly, we should never try to change a person unless they willingly want to change themselves.
Let people be who they are.
So in this message: Two things we can't change
The Past and People.
